Come on down to the last live Katie Halper Show of 2016!
We will be talking identity politics with special guests  Zaid Jilani of The Intercept and Karina Moreno, assistant professor at LIU Brooklyn and Kazembe Balagun.

Then we celebrate the holidays through the ancient pagan ritual of Karaoke! If you’re not into Karaoke, that’s OK. You can still mingle, drink, nosh, watch people sing Karaoke, dance, mock, point, fall in love etc.

Zaid Jilani is a journalist who hails from Atlanta, Georgia. He has previously worked as a reporter-blogger for ThinkProgress, United Republic, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and

A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Karina Moreno received her phd from the school of public affairs and administration at Rutgers University in 2012.  Her research focuses on the impact of immigration and security policy on Latinos in the U.S.; recently, she was a core member of a transatlantic research team that produced a comparative study on the effects of an increasingly securitized immigration sector post 9/11 on Latinos, Muslims, and Sikhs in the U.S. and the U.K.

Kazembe Balagun is a writer activist and former program coordinator for the Brecht Forum. He currently is a project manager for the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung New York Office.
