Brooklyn Commons offers a variety of spaces available for select public and private events. With spaces ranging from the cozy and intimate to the lush and green to the large and celebratory, the Commons can accommodate almost every need. Conveniently located on Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn Commons is near the Barclay Center/Atlantic Ave. stop on the 2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R and LIRR trains, the A/C/G at Hoyt-Schermerhorn, F at Bergen,  the B/Q/R at DeKalb, and the 2/3/4/5 at Nevins. It’s also quite close to the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges, and the BQE.

After a recent renovation, our 1,000+ sq-ft. space is now ideal for rehearsal dinners, film screenings, conferences, trainings, workshops, work brunches, confirmations, retirement parties, performing artists (aka – dances, theater and more). Beautifully appointed with modern wood furniture, the main space is readily adaptable, and features adjustable lights (side-sconces, overhead), a pull-down screen, surround-sound and a small stage for toasts and presentations. Recent uses have included live music (jazz bands one night, acoustic guitar another), live comedy panels, marathon corporate-sessions, intimate wedding parties and local business breakfasts. The front to the space features a lovely cafe – in other words, cappuccino, espresso, local beer and organic wine are right on hand, as well as local-made empanadas; and a fully-set-up kitchen, ideal for catered events.
The banquets and tables comfortably seat 70 people – More people fit comfortably for standing events and when the seats are configured in rows.
For additional charges, pots of coffee, trays of food, teas, etc., can be prepared for the group.
Alternately, we have a growing list of caterers, or you may want to bring in your own caterer – who will have access to the convection oven, to the cutting boards, refrigerators, etc.
We have WiFi included, and an HD AV projection system that can project from web or dvd or from your laptop (note: in some cases, modest fees will apply for using the AV systems). (Should you wish to livestream and record your event, there will be a fee for the tech-person and a fee for utilizing the system.)

The 2nd floor classroom space is ideal for lectures, classes, conferences, trainings, workshops, discussions, and more. Furnished with a long table, chairs, wifi, multiple outlets, projector, and chalkboard, the room is lined with windows that provide gorgeous natural light. The table can comfortably fit 10-12 people with additional room for extra chairs. For additional charges, pots of coffee, trays of food, teas, etc., can be prepared for the group. Alternately, depending on the time of the event, attendees can have access to the cafe and order from the menu we have available.

The 2nd floor library space is ideal for larger meetings, lectures, classes, conferences, trainings, workshops, discussions, and more. Furnished with modern wood tables, chairs, wifi, multiple outlets, and a whiteboard, the room is lined with windows that provide gorgeous natural light. The table can comfortably fit 10-12 people with additional room for extra chairs. For additional charges, pots of coffee, trays of food, teas, etc., can be prepared for the group. Alternately, depending on the time of the event, attendees can have access to the cafe and order from the menu we have available.

The rooftop garden is a beautiful, scenic space ideal for seasonal parties, wedding receptions, classes, and more. This gorgeous open space provides a panoramic view of Downtown Brooklyn, surrounded by fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Complete with tables, chairs, and special holiday lighting, it’s the perfect space to celebrate any occasion. For additional charges, pots of coffee, trays of food, teas, etc., can be prepared for the group. Alternately, depending on the time of the event, attendees can have access to the cafe and order from the menu we have available.
